LUGGAGE
Different airlines allow different weight limits. Check with your airline for accurate up to date information!
If at all possible, pack light! (Tip: It’s often easier to travel with two small suitcases/bags than with one large one!)
Domestic flights limit the weight of luggage in hold to 12 – 15 kilos (depending on the flight and airline).

- Binoculars
- Rain jacket or poncho
- Plastic bags to keep your belongings dry (clothes, cameras, etc.)
- Power plug adapter (220/110)
- A Travel alarm clock
- Flash light and spare battery
First Aid Kit
- Analgesic such as Acetaminophen (ex. Tylenol) or Ibuprofen
- Anti-diarrheal medicine (ex. Imodium, Pepto-Bismal)
- Antibiotics for traveler’s diarrhea
- Sunburn lotion for after sun care
- Mosquito repellent strong enough for the rainy season!
- Anti-itch cream (ex. Hydrocortisone cream)
- Antiseptic spray or disinfectant
- Band aids, gauze and scissors (Tip: Scissors should not be packed in your carry on)
HIKES
For the Volcanoes
- Jacket or sweatshirt for the cool evenings (evenings may even be cold, depending on the volcano you are hiking! Pack accordingly).
- Swim Suit and Towel (You might go swimming in the waterfalls and natural pools).
- Hiking shoes or boots (muddy, slippery terrain during the rainy season).
- Long pants
For the Beach

RAFTING AND KAYAKING
- Waterproof shoes with rubber soles
